LowePro SlingPro 200 Camera Bag

Just a quick postings of some photos of the LowePro camera bag that contains my Leica-Olympus "Lympa" kit:

The bag has been really handy for some extended hikes and has helped me comfortably get to the photos at:

Kneeland - Lympa_2006_04_21   and

Cape Mendocino Last Light 2006

Officially LowePro calls this the SlingShot 200 AW

Front of LowePro 200 bag loaded with all the camera gear displayed below

All of this gear for my Olympus E-330 fits neatly in the LowePro 200,

plus some from the front pocket that I forgot to pull out for the above photo.

The photo of the Front Pocket is included below.

With the Olympus C-8080 at upper left, its a tight fit.

I have now replaced the 8080 with a second E-330 body, so there is now a little extra room.

In addition, more equipment that was not displayed in the equipment layout photo above is here in the front pocket.

The handwritten page shows the MyModes on the C-8080 and the plastic cases hold Circular Polarizing filters

for my Zuiko 14-54/2.8 and Leica APO TeleElmarit 70-180/2.8 In the back is table-top tripod.

The pocket under the top cover keeps a tight reign on Compact Flash cards.

The label on the CF plastic case is my indicator of when a card is used - covering the front of the

card when full of photos, and a clear view of the front of the CF card if it is freshly formatted and ready to use.

It's surprising what a handy handle this is!

Fully loaded, the whole kit is a hefty 17 pounds.

The single back strap allows for comfortable backpack carry-mode, plus lets you swing the camera bag

to the front across your chest where you can easily access camera gear without anything falling out.

With everything seated correctly across my back and the small cross-strap attached for extra support,

the full and fairly heavy bag rides very well.

I even carry the E-330 camera manual in the pouch at the back of the bag,

which holds the waterproof rain cover. I used the cover once on a 10 block hike up

rainy Hannover Street in Boston. It was really wet, but the cover kept the bag perfectly dry,

and I wished I had packed a raincoat as good for myself!
